Updates
What's new in Framebank, newest first. You're on version 1.10.1.
1.10.1 20 October 2026
Fixed
- Open a board just after saving to it from the Chrome extension, Resolve, Premiere or Lightroom, and the new images' shot types and tags now appear as soon as they're ready, without refreshing.
1.10.0 19 October 2026
New
- Invite your crew: your own invite link, on your boards page. People who join with it skip the waitlist.
Improved
- Framebank can now be found on Google, and a link to it shows a preview with a picture when you share it.
1.9.0 19 October 2026
New
- The founding offer: the first 150 members get Pro for £40 a year, for life. Take it from your Profile, under Plan. The discount is already applied at checkout.
- One quick question for new members: how did you hear about Framebank?
Improved
- While Framebank is invite-only, the home page says Request an invite, and the waiting page says what happens next.
1.8.2 19 October 2026
Fixed
- Resolve, Lightroom and Premiere now bring in an image's latest edit even if you edited it after opening their Framebank window. Before, they could import the version from when the list loaded. Download the plugin again from the Apps page to get this.
1.8.1 19 October 2026
Improved
- The terms and privacy pages now give Framebank's business address.
1.8.0 18 October 2026
Improved
- iPhone photos (HEIC) now work fully in Chrome: they get previews and colours when you add them, and you can rotate, flip and crop them.
- Crop an image and its AI shot type is worked out again for the new frame. A shot type you picked yourself is never changed.
Fixed
- Adding images to an open board (dropping them on the page, or Import) had stopped working since 17 October. It works again.
1.7.0 18 October 2026
New
- Pick a board's cover: open any image and choose Use as cover under Send to. It shows on the board's card and in its project. Use the newest image instead puts it back.
1.6.0 18 October 2026
New
- Rotate, flip and crop any image, with presets for 2.39, 1.85, 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 4:5 and 9:16. Press E or the crop button in an image. The original is kept, so Revert always gets it back.
- Rename images: one from its details (the pencil, or R), or a whole selection at once from Select › Rename…, numbered in board order (Night Swim 01, 02…). Downloads and the apps use the new name.
- Pro: rename with tags, like “{board} {shot} {n}” or “{date} {camera}”, with a preview before you save.
- Rename boards and projects straight from their cards.
- View all on a project: every image on its boards in one page.
- Save to Framebank extension 1.2: your three most recent boards sit at the top of the menu, and boards in a project are grouped under it.
Improved
- Resolve, Lightroom and Premiere fetch an image again after it's been edited, as a new file beside the old one, so your projects keep the version they're using.
1.5.0 17 October 2026
New
- Projects: group boards together (a film with a board per scene) and share the whole project at once.
- A new home page showing the apps, sharing and plans, and an Apps page with install steps and your connected apps.
- Save to Framebank is on the Chrome Web Store.
- Report this image, on images other people have added.
- Renewal reminders: an email 30 days before a yearly plan renews, with the price and how to cancel.
Improved
- Location is never stored: GPS and place names are taken out of every upload, preview and profile photo.
- Lightroom 1.3 sends the camera details from your catalogue.
Fixed
- Images whose colours couldn't be read (some HEICs, frames from apps) were filed as black and white. They're measured properly now.
1.4.0 16 October 2026
New
- Plans: Free, Student and Pro, with a pricing page and a 14-day refund on any payment.
1.3.0 15 October 2026
New
- Premiere Pro panel: send the frame under the playhead to a board, find references most like it, and import them into a Framebank bin.
- DaVinci Resolve window: send a frame or a whole album, follow the playhead live, and bring references into the Gallery or Media Pool.
- Lightroom Classic window: send selected photos, see what's been sent to Lightroom, and find references most like a photo.
- Send to Lightroom, Resolve or Premiere from the website: images wait in the app's Inbox.
- Type in camera details on any image (camera, lens, settings, picture profile, LUT). Sony clips in Resolve bring their own.
- One name per camera, whatever the file calls it (DC-S5 is the Lumix S5), so the Camera filter groups them properly.
- Recently deleted: restore images, or delete them for good, for 30 days.
Improved
- AI labels (shot type and tags) are on for everyone, and new uploads get them within seconds.
- New type throughout: Helvetica Neue.
